Compare the compact Etymotic Storage Case Zippered with the padded Dekoni Audio Charcoal Headphone Savior V2. Find the right portable protection for your earphones or headphones.
Quick answer
Choose the Etymotic Storage Case Zippered for compact earphone storage on a budget, or the Dekoni Headphone Savior V2 for padded protection of larger headphones during travel. Your choice depends on gear size and how much cushioning you need.
Size and protection level
The Etymotic Storage Case Zippered is a slim, zippered pouch designed to hold earphones and small accessories. It offers basic organization and dust protection but minimal impact cushioning. In contrast, the Dekoni Headphone Savior V2 is a softshell case with increased height to accommodate attached cables or larger headphones, providing significantly more padding for travel.
Portability and everyday use
If you carry in-ear monitors or small earphones daily, the Etymotic case slips easily into a bag without adding bulk. The Dekoni case is larger and better suited for over-ear headphones, making it less pocket-friendly but more protective when you pack your gear in a backpack or suitcase.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Etymotic Storage Case Zippered: Compact, affordable, and tailored for Etymotic earphones. Offers basic dust and scratch protection but little shock absorption. Best for light everyday carry of in-ear monitors.
- Dekoni Headphone Savior V2: Padded softshell with extra height for larger headphones and cables. Provides solid impact protection but is bulkier and more expensive. Ideal for travel with over-ear headphones.
- Key trade-off: The Etymotic case prioritizes size and cost; the Dekoni case prioritizes protection and capacity. Neither is wrong, but they serve different gear sizes.
Product facts
- Etymotic Storage Case Zippered: The Etymotic Storage Case Zippered is a protective audio case designed to keep earphones and small accessories organized and covered when not in use. It is available in black and comes in type options for different Etymotic models. This gives you a model-specific fit for your Etymotic earphones, but the case offers only basic padding, so it is not ideal for heavy impacts.
Etymotic Storage Case Zippered - Dekoni Audio Charcoal Headphone Savior V2 Universal Headphone Carrying Case: The Dekoni Headphone Savior V2 has increased height for more room for attached cables or larger headphones, built with a softshell design for traveling.
