Thorens TD 102 A Automatic Turntable

The fully automatic mechanism works like a charm, lifting the tonearm and returning it at the end of the record. Sound is dead quiet, and the build quality feels solid for the price.

I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet the motor is—no distracting hum while the record plays. The automatic return function works smoothly, which makes it perfect for casual listening sessions.

The platter’s inertia is remarkable — it keeps spinning so smoothly after power-off, I almost missed the last track completely. Even with older, slightly warped records, the cueing mechanism drops the tonearm precisely every time.
