Engineered to entertain
Some regions require fire-proof back-boxes for in-wall and in-ceiling installations. The Dynaudio Fire-rated Back-box is a shallow-depth rear enclosure for use with all our Performance series in ceiling and in wall speakers.

It’s made of solid metal, and is packed with Morgan Superwool to provide one hour of protection in accordance with building regulations. The back-box will also mount into standard 16in-on-centre studs.

Henry ★★★★★

Compared to the open‑air option I used before, these fire‑rated back‑boxes are much sturdier and the shallow depth made fitting them into tight ceiling spots a breeze. Sound isolation feels noticeably tighter in the wall cavities.

George G. ★★★★★

Installing these backboxes gave me peace of mind for my in-wall setup, and the shallow depth made fitting them in tight stud bays much easier than I expected.

David N. ★★★★★

The fire-rated enclosure definitely gives peace of mind for safety, and I was impressed by how shallow the profile is—it fit perfectly into a tight ceiling cavity. Sound isolation is noticeably better than the open-box installs I've done before.
