The HiFi Man HE Adapter for HE-4 HE-5LE and HE-6 is a compact device designed to bridge the gap. The HE-Adapter connects the HE-6 headphones to an integrated or power amplifier using speaker cables. This allows you to take advantage of the high power output from a speaker amplifier, ensuring that the HE-6 receives the necessary power to deliver its exceptional sound.

The HE-Adapter features a speaker connector input and a 4-pin XLR output, making it easy to connect to your existing amplifier setup. The device also includes resistors in parallel (10 Ohms) and resistors in series (25 Ohms), which help to optimize the signal and provide better impedance matching between the amplifier and headphones.

Measuring 16.5 cm x 12.2 cm x 7.5 cm (6.5 inches x 4.8 inches x 2.9 inches) and weighing 542 g, the HE-Adapter is compact and sturdy, making it easy to integrate into your audio system. However, it’s important to note that the HE-Adapter is specifically designed for HE-6, HE-5LE, and HE-4 headphones. It is not compatible with high-efficiency headphones like the HE-500.

By using the HE-Adapter, you can safely drive the HE-6 and similar low-efficiency HiFiMan models using a normal speaker amplifier connected to the speaker outputs, achieving the optimal performance these headphones are capable of.
