AVID HIFI Ionic Cartridge

Connected my turntable and immediately heard instruments I never noticed before, like the cello just floated in its own pocket of air. The way it carves out individual spaces in the soundstage is uncanny—my old cartridge just blurred everything together. Enjoying this a lot more than I expected for

I was skeptical about the three-dimensional imaging claim, but the way each instrument floats in its own distinct space is genuinely striking, even on well-worn records. The depth and separation make listening feel almost like a live session.

The way instruments separate into their own layers on this cartridge is something else—each one sits deep in the mix with real dimensionality, not just a flat wall of sound. I put on an orchestral track and the spacing felt almost physical.
